Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and personalized care to the residents of the Fulford Nursing Home in Littlehampton. Your duties will include assisting with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and engaging residents in social activities to promote their well-being and independence. You will work closely with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for the residents.

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
  • Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
  • Meals Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
  • Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
