About the role

Sponsor Licence Leadership

  • Act as Key Contact and Level 1 User, ensuring full licence compliance.
  • Oversee SMS administration, notifiable events, and key personnel updates.
  • Manage CoS allocations, SOC code accuracy, salary/allowance checks, and documentation.

Immigration Compliance & Ethical Recruitment

  • Maintain audit-ready Appendix D evidence across recruitment and employment changes.
  • Lead Home Office compliance readiness and internal audit programmes.
  • Provide expert advice on Skilled Worker and Health & Care Worker routes, extensions, dependants, and settlement pathways.
  • Ensure ethical recruitment aligned to the Code of Practice.

Right to Work & PreEmployment Governance

  • Own the Right to Work framework, including IDVT/IDSP, followup checks, and timelimited permissions.
  • Manage visa/BRP expiry watchlists and ensure timely renewals.
  • Lead RTW spot checks, manager training, and escalation of noncompliance.
  • Oversee DBS, references, fitness-to-work, professional registration checks, and TUPE-related RTW compliance.

Reporting, Analytics & Controls

  • Maintain dashboards for sponsor KPIs, RTW compliance, visa expiries, and audit outcomes.
  • Provide clear monthly and quarterly insights to HR Leadership and the Executive team.
  • Track incidents and near misses, driving learning and continuous improvement.
About you

Essential

  • Experience as an HR Business Partner or Compliance Lead (UKVI/RTW/Employment compliance).
  • Strong knowledge of UKVI Sponsor Guidance, Skilled Worker/Health & Care routes, SOC codes & notifiable events.
  • Excellent understanding of Right to Work legislation and document verification.
  • Experience supporting Home Office compliance visits or internal compliance audits.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, discretion, and a solutions-driven mindset.
  • GCSEs Grade 94 (AC) inc. Maths & English.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards), or immigration/OISC training.
  • Sector experience in health & social care, NHS, education, or regulated industries.
  • Strong data skills (Excel/Sheets, HRIS reporting) with experience building dashboards.
