Job summary

This is a rewarding role as a Housekeeper at Paternoster House Care Home in Gloucestershire, where you will be part of a welcoming and specialized support team. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the communal areas and residents' rooms, as well as providing companionship to the residents.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeper at Paternoster House Care Home, your responsibilities will include: ensuring the communal areas are clean and safe for residents and employees, thoroughly dusting, polishing, and vacuuming residents' bedrooms, and collaborating with the home management team to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. You will also have the opportunity to provide support, communication, and engagement to the residents.

A day in the life of a Housekeeper

  • Communal cleaning ensure the communal areas are kept clean and safe for residents and employees
  • Domestic tasks -dust, polish and vacuum residents bedrooms thoroughly and ensuring use of appropriate warning signs when required
  • Collaboration - work closely with the home management team to ensure the home meets the standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Companionship- Provide support, communication and engagement to residents.
