Job summary

The job opportunity is for a Support Worker role at Enable, a company that provides support services for individuals with complex needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. The role is located in Worthing, and the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering positive, person-centered outcomes for the people they support, encouraging independence and enabling them to live as independently as possible within their own homes and in the local community.

Main duties of the job

As a Support Worker, you will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role. You will be responsible for supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, and complex needs, offering a range of services such as supporting daily living activities, social activities, personal care, routines, meal planning, and budgeting. You will also be required to communicate effectively using the chosen methods of the individuals you support, promote and motivate them to enhance their quality of life, and provide positive behavioral support approaches where necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping accurate records and reporting any changes in the health or circumstances of the service users to the management team.

Central Worthing, Rectory Road supports 3 individuals with multiple disabilities.

Offering supporting living, encouraging and enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and accessing the local community & facilities.

We are looking for Support Workers to join our amazing team, to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
  • At least 12 months of experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
  • UK Valid Driver's License with access to own car.
