Job summary

This is a rewarding role as a Domestic Care Assistant at Sunnymeade care home, where you can make a real difference in the lives of residents. You'll be part of a welcoming and specialized support team, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for both residents and employees.

Main duties of the job

As a Domestic Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include communal cleaning, thorough cleaning and dusting of residents' bedrooms, and collaborating with the home management team to ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are met. You'll also have the opportunity to provide support, communication, and engagement to the residents, contributing to their overall well-being.

A day in the life of a Housekeeper

  • Communal cleaning ensure the communal areas are kept clean and safe for residents and employees
  • Domestic tasks -dust, polish and vacuum residents bedrooms thoroughly and ensuring use of appropriate warning signs when required
  • Collaboration - work closely with the home management team to ensure the home meets the standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Companionship- Provide support, communication and engagement to residents.
