Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and personalized care to the residents at Grevill House in Cheltenham. Your duties will include offering companionship, assisting with personal care tasks, administering medications, preparing meals, and supporting residents with their daily activities. You will work closely with the wider care team to ensure the well-being and independence of the residents. The role requires a minimum of 12 months' right to work in the UK, and full-time or part-time hours are available, including day and night shifts.

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
  • Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
  • Meals Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
  • Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
