Job summary

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeper at Tilford care home, your responsibilities will include cleaning communal areas, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming residents' rooms, and ensuring the use of appropriate warning signs. What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
  • You are required to have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle to get to and from work as Tilford care home is situated in a remote location with no public transport routes
  • 32 hours per week to include working alternative weekends

A day in the life of a Housekeeper

  • Communal cleaning ensure the communal areas are kept clean and safe for residents and employees
  • Domestic tasks -dust, polish and vacuum residents bedrooms thoroughly and ensuring use of appropriate warning signs when required
  • Collaboration - work closely with the home management team to ensure the home meets the standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Companionship- Provide support, communication and engagement to residents.
