Job summary

The role of a Housekeeper at the Nightingale care home in Derby is to ensure the communal areas are kept clean and safe, and to thoroughly dust, polish, and vacuum residents' bedrooms. The Housekeeper will work closely with the home management team to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeper at the Nightingale care home, your responsibilities will include communal cleaning to ensure the areas are kept clean and safe for residents and employees, domestic tasks such as dusting, polishing, and vacuuming residents' bedrooms, and collaborating with the home management team to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. You will also provide support, communication, and engagement to the residents.

  • Full time at 36 hours per week - maternity cover, this role includes working alternative weekends

  • Communal cleaning ensure the communal areas are kept clean and safe for residents and employees
  • Domestic tasks -dust, polish and vacuum residents bedrooms thoroughly and ensuring use of appropriate warning signs when required
  • Collaboration - work closely with the home management team to ensure the home meets the standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Companionship- Provide support, communication and engagement to residents.
