The role of a Senior Care Assistant at Fulford Nursing Home in Littlehampton involves providing person-centered care to residents, administering medication, leading and participating in social activities, and potentially supporting the development of new or existing staff members. Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will ensure that residents receive personal care, including bathing, dressing, and oral care, within their preferences, and actively promote their right to choice and independence. You will contribute to and carry out care reviews to ensure residents' plans reflect their needs. You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive manner, and lead and participate in trips, social engagements, and activities within the home. You may also support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and potentially lead the home when more senior managers are not available.
