The Information Rights Team forms an integral part of Parliamentary and Public Accountability Team (PPAT) and operates a high volume, fast paced public facing service. Our work is often in response to high profile, live issues. The team works collaboratively across UKHSA to provide a high-quality service to all our customers in line with UKHSA's values and our key performance indicators. Main duties of the job
This is an exciting time to join the organisation and our collaborative and supportive team.
You will:
- have the opportunity to help shape the future of information rights compliance at UKHSA and, where this is desirable, work across areas that go beyond the immediate parameters of the role.
- lead a team responsible for delivering of statutory information access compliance, shaping information rights and data protection strategy, as well as overseeing engagement within the different business areas of the organisation
- be a team player with good judgement, adept at personally handling sensitive requests and data, possess sharp political nous, and excellent organisational skills.
In ensuring that UKHSA's responses to statutory requests are timely and accurate, you will work with the UKHSA's scientists and clinicians and will be able to handle and work with complex scientific and technical information and translate it for public audiences.
In this management role, which also requires delivery of your own case work in addition to supporting your team to deliver their allocated cases, you will be working with a highly motivated and passionate group of people in an exciting and fast-paced environment with the opportunity to make your mark.
