People Analytics and Insight Lead

Job summary

The role is focussed on leading the team responsible for bringing together existing people datasets and investigating workforce issues to inform decision-making and acts as a centre of expertise within Finance Performance Risk and Assurance (FPRA) on the use and presentation of people and performance-related data.

The People Analytics and Insight Lead will be responsible for providing technical and professional leadership for the function. The post holder will have considerable autonomy to deliver actionable insights from the organisation's existing people data sources, using curiosity, creativity and experience to provide observations which are accurate, relevant and clearly communicated. These should highlight areas of risk and opportunity as FPRA helps the organisation to continue to deliver key strategic priorities.

Main duties of the job

As a People Analytics & Insight Lead your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the people analytics function by embedding an approach to people analytics within the new directorate, agreeing ways of working, and agreeing the analytics offer to FPRA and People teams and the wider organisation.
  • Understanding the organisation's current challenges and applying analytical insight - such as statistical analysis and data modelling techniques - to identify issues, recommend courses of action, and monitor progress against those actions.
  • Overseeing a core offer of products to key stakeholders by supporting and advising the wider people analytics team to ensure successful delivery.
  • Generating, extracting and organising people-related data from a range of sources
  • Developing engaging and accessible approaches to data visualisation to maximise the impact and understanding of people-related issues across the organisation.
  • Supporting the implementation and rollout of the organisation's new HR system, ensuring the improved reporting functionality is reflected in the people analytics offer to the organisation.
  • Building people analytics capability by identifying and supporting relevant development for team members to build increasing expertise and flexibility and creating a targeted "intelligent customer" development offer for FPRA and People Group stakeholders.
