The Redeployment Team offers an exciting and rewarding opportunity to develop both your administrative and HR or Recruitment expertise in a supportive and growth-focused environment.

In this role, you will play a key part in assisting UKHSA redeployees, providing vital support during an important transitional period in their careers. Through your exceptional customer service and organisational skills, you will ensure our redeployees are at the heart of everything that you do.

As a member of this team, you will engage in a variety of HR-related and administrative tasks, all of which will contribute to the success of our redeployment process. This is an interesting and varied role in a fast-paced environment that provides ample opportunity for professional development

Main duties of the job

The Redeployment Administrator manages the process of redeploying employees into new roles by providing an effective level of administrative support in the delivery of the redeployment activity across UKHSA in line with agreed timescales.

Job responsibilities

Working to the Redeployment Officer you will:

Manage the Redeployment Inbox, coordinating and sending responses. Be a point of contact to hiring/line managers and redeployees to answer queries and respond to requests. Manage and monitor the Redeployment Register. Provide job descriptions for suitable vacancies to redeployees, sending redeployment documents to hiring managers. Keep appropriate records of all redeployment activities undertaken by employees in the redeployment pool.

Report on vacancies to identify any that have not gone through Recruitment Submissions and flagging these to the Redeployment Officer. Provide administrative support in the development of key redeployment processes. Provide Management Information to the Redeployment Lead, Redeployment Manager and key stakeholders.

  • Experience of working in a HR/Recruitment/Redeployment setting
  • Excellent relationship management skills, demonstrating the highest standards and leading by example.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan and execute activities in specified timescales without compromising the quality of these.

  • Able to prioritise and manage time effectively to deliver to deadlines.

This role is being offered as hybrid working based at any of our Core HQs. We offer great flexible working opportunities at UKHSA and operate using a hybrid working model where business needs allow. This provides us with greater flexibility about how and where we work, to get the best from our workforce. As a hybrid worker, you will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of your contractual working hours (approximately 3 days a week pro rata, (averaged over a month) working at one of UKHSA's core HQs (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, and London) Our core HQ offices are modern and newly refurbished with excellent city centre transport link and benefit from benefit from co-location with other government departments such as the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC).
