Senior Computer Systems Validation Engineer

Job summary

This post is to provide validation support to the Clinical Evaluation team which is part of the GxP test facility within the Vaccine Development and Evaluation Centre (VDEC) and is responsible for the delivery of key clinical and pre-clinical data in support of vaccines and therapeutics for SARS-CoV-2 and other emerging public health threats.

The ideal candidate will be expected to have experience in the validation of computerised systems for use regulated environments and will be required to have good information technology skills and IT literacy.

If you have experience of working in a regulated environment and a proactive approach this would be a great advantage!

The post holder will be expected to engage with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders including senior management, information technology, project sponsors, equipment vendors, auditors and regulators.

This post would suit someone looking to develop a career in computer systems validation and full training will be given.

Main duties of the job

As the Senior Computer Systems Validation Engineer your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage computer validation projects
  • Guide end users in validation processes
  • Build effective relationships with personnel across the business
  • Analyse and interpret data
  • Provide reports and presentations to senior management
  • Provide validation expert support in audits and inspections
  • Assess validation documentation and generate summary reports
  • Provide validation training to colleagues
  • Develop user requirements specifications
  • Assess prospective computer systems
