Job summary
The UKHSA Public Inquiry (PI) Team are recruiting a Senior Knowledge and Information Manager to join the Data Discovery and Disclosure Team on a fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Team within UKHSA.
The Senior Knowledge and Information Manager is responsible for the management and continual development of the PI Team's Knowledge & Records Management Framework. Working closely with the UKHSA Information & Records Management (IRM) Team, you will be responsible for aligning the PI Team with UKHSA's IRM Standards and ensuring adherence to the Government Knowledge & Information Management (GKIM) principles.
You will have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and users from across the organisation as part of the projects you work on. The role will also require you to provide Business as Usual operations support to the PI Team and be a senior point of escalation for all queries relating to GKIM.
This role is being offered on a full-time basis. This is a Fixed Term Contract with an end date on 31/03/2025.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:
- Manage the PI Team's Knowledge & Records Management Framework.
- Develop and maintain standards for information handling across the PI Team, in line with UKHSA IRM Standards and GKIM principles.
- Developing and maintain effective ways of working to ensure document security, including standards for document versioning and issuing.
- Establish standards for tracking and auditing of documents originating at UKHSA across other Govt. departments, GLD, Legal Counsel, and the requesting Public Inquiry.
- Work with senior stakeholders to manage expectations regarding the handling of UKHSA material once released to partners.
- Work collaboratively with UKHSA IRM colleagues to create feedback loops and learning points to strengthen UKHSA IRM policies.
- Produce impactful guidance on information and records management topics.
- Provide Business as Usual operations support to the PI Team and be a senior point of escalation for GKIM.
