Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Orthopaedic Practitioner to manage orthopaedic trauma patients in jersey general Hospital with a recognised qualification in casting. This role involves the provision of care, advice and guidance to patients, relatives and staff on a defined set of conditions within the orthopaedic speciality.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner responsible for managing and prioritising own workload against the needs of patients and service requirements. You will manage the casting service across the organisation including within the operating department, outpatients and wards.

All supported with generous funding and study time. You are granted on average 195.0 hours and 10 public holidays equating to a further 75 hours per year. Full travelling expenses are paid from a UK port of entry, with a generous relocation package available and the appointee may take advantage of Jersey taxation policies. Main duties of the job
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will demonstrate a high degree
of personal and professional autonomy and accountability by delivering specialised and
person-centred holistic care. This will be delivered through advice, counselling, education, and interventions to
service users, their families, carers and health care professionals.
Advanced communication skills are essential in order to impart
sensitive, complex and potentially distressing information to service users, families
and carers, providing them with advice and emotional support in hospital/community. Ensuring that service users understand the information
provided to them, whilst overcoming any communication barriers. Thus,
empowering service users to make informed choices regarding their care
pathways.
