Job summary

We are looking for a kind and compassionate nurse to join our ward. Someone who is patient focused and works well within a team. Rozel Ward is an acute medical ward which consists of 13 single rooms. We have a current nurse to patient ratio of 1 to 4 and 1 to 6 or 7 on night duty. We are a close knit team of 13 Nurses and 9 HCA's and appreciate a flexible shift pattern with work/life balance. As Ward managers we pride ourselves on up-to-date Appraisals and are passionate about the professional development for our team. The hospital has its own education centre which links in with a UK university. Currently we have RN's currently undertaking their MSC programmes. All supported with generous funding and study time. You are granted on average 195.0 hours and 10 public holidays equating to a further 75 hours per year which are unique to Jersey's historic occasions. Main duties of the job

This role operates across a range of clinical areas within the acute and community services. You will plan and deliver an effective and competent level of care, be fully aware of the needs of the patients and drive the standard in patient care. Working collaboratively with colleagues across other department to ensure the continuity in patient care, acting as a role model for colleagues, patients, and relatives. Supervise the care given by Healthcare Assistants and provide guidance and training as appropriate.
