Job summary
Consultant in General Radiology. Potentially with a special
interest in interventional Radiology.
This role expands our team to eight full-time
consultant radiologists, supported by a highly skilled
radiography and admin workforce.
Youll work flexibly most current
consultants do 4-day weeks and have the freedom to pursue subspecialty
interests in addition to a robust general radiology workload.
Main duties of the job
We
particularly welcome experience in MRI, CT, and MDTs, and encourage applicants
with interests in:
Interventional
Breast
Neuroradiology
MSK
MRI
Urology including prostate MRI/biopsy
Gynaecology
Head
& Neck
Cardiac
General
acute/trauma imaging
Our team
culture is collaborative and agile, with protected time for CPD, SPA
activities, and attendance at MDTs minimum one per week
The radiology department is QI
accredited.
The study leave budget is available
to maintain sufficient CPD for the purposes of revalidation.
Participation in appraisal is
mandatory.
The post holder will be expected to
be fully involved in a Risk Management programme and support the Governance
agenda.
Each radiologist has their own air conditioned and dedicated
2 screen PACS workstation and separate computer with internet access.

Teaching and Research

Primary Medical Degree
Full Registration and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a current License to practice (for overseas candidates it is mandatory that a license is obtained prior to appointment).
Higher Specialty qualification: MRCP & FRCPath or equivalent Qualifications for Specialist Registration.
Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT.
