Job summary
Highly Specialist Adult Speech and Language Therapist required to join a motivated and enthusiastic team.
The post holder will provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy services to the rehabilitation ward, working as an integral member of the rehabilitation multidisciplinary team, and provide support and mentorship for Speech and Language Therapists developing their skills in this area. The post Holder will work with the Memory Assessment Clinic providing detailed Speech and Language Therapy assessments to help provide information for diagnosis of different types of Dementia. Supporting and providing advice for clients and their families with Dementia.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage cases of individuals with severe complex traumatic brain injury and work closely with the multidisciplinary team supporting the individuals across their rehabilitation journey.
Videofluoroscopy skills and experience in carrying out and running FEES clinics desirable. Good knowledge of AAC essential. The applicant needs to be flexible and work across different areas, as small team and need to be able to support with caseloads across a range of individuals from acute medical wards to domiciliary visits.
