Job summary

Lead, Inspire and Transform Adult Social Care on the Isle of Man. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join us as the Assistant Director for Adult Social Work within Manx Care.

Main duties of the job

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Social Care, youll play a key role in driving innovation, championing strengths-based approaches and delivering services that truly improve lives. You will lead a skilled and dedicated team, influence strategic planning and work collaboratively with partners across government and the island to ensure services meet the evolving needs of our community. This is more than a leadership role; it is a chance to leave a lasting impact. You will shape policy, drive service development and help create outcomes that genuinely matter for our residents. Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, the IOM Public Service offers two pension arrangements; the Isle of Man Government Unified Scheme 2011 or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) Arrangement.
