Job summary

Join our team as a Special Care Dentist within the Integrated Primary and Community Care Group! The Community Dental Service is part of the Integrated Primary and Community Care Group and is committed to the provision of an accessible, high quality and professional dental services by providing advice, treatment, disease prevention and health promotion to NHS patients in a community setting. Primary Care understands and respects the challenge of ensuring the most cost effective use of resources.

Main duties of the job

This rewarding clinical role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centred dental care to vulnerable adults and children who are unable to access routine general dental services. Youll work across a range of settings including dental clinics, general anaesthetic lists, and domiciliary environments providing both routine and urgent treatment, often under local anaesthetic, conscious sedation, or general anaesthesia. You will be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of services, the promotion of oral health, and improvements in patient access. Your work will directly support those with complex needs, including individuals with learning disabilities, physical impairments, medical vulnerabilities, or severe dental anxiety.
