Job summary

We are looking for highly motivated, forwarding thinkingRotational Pharmacists (Band 6OR Band 7)to join our friendly and collaborative Pharmacy department at Noble's Hospital on the Isle of Man. The Band 6 is a training position allowing Pharmacists to progress from Band 6 to Band 7 followinga structured competency-based program - anideal position for newly qualified pharmacists. Applications for theBand 7 position will be welcomed from Pharmacists who already have post-registration hospital experience.

Main duties of the job

Our Pharmacy Department forms a vital part of the Health Service, providing a broad range of services. You will be working alongside other healthcare professionals to help patients and their carers get the best from medicines. This is a great opportunity to develop yourself as a Pharmacist, as youll have the chance to work on wards as part of the clinical team, providing support in the dispensary, to help with accuracy checking and clinical screening of prescriptions. To succeed in this role you will be patient-focused and proactive, contributing towards the overall provision of a high quality pharmacy service.

You’ll be supported to develop your knowledge and skills whilst in this Trainee role by taking on qualified Band 7 duties. You’ll receive a percentage of the maximum fully qualified rate, which will increase as you get closer to qualifying.

A generous annual leave entitlement starting at 27 days and 10 Public Holidays.

Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, the IOM Public Service offers two pension arrangements; the Isle of Man Government Unified Scheme 2011 or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) Arrangement.
