Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our supportive Drug and Alcohol Team as the Dual Diagnosis Nurse, providing high quality, specialist care services to people with dual diagnosis needs in the community.

Main duties of the job

Within this role, you will be responsible for a defined caseload of patients who have co-occurring substance misuse and mental health needs, participating in the multi-disciplinary assessment, intervention and treatment of patients, as well as supporting community detoxification and provide post detox relapse prevention support. You will work as an independent/supplementary prescriber or train to become one within the 2 years of taking up the post.
