Job summary

Were looking for a Consultant Histopathologist to join our small, friendly, forward-thinking and dedicated team in the Pathology department within Manx Care.

Main duties of the job

This vital job offers a unique, rewarding and diverse environment to work, that comes with an island setting. Youll be based in a district general hospital laboratory setting and will get to perform a range of specialist investigations due to our island location. The suitable candidate for this post will have a subspecialist interest in either colorectal or breast pathology and provide the pathology lead for the relevant MDTs. Colorectal and breast are the two areas where major cancer resections are performed at Nobles Hospital, but a wide range of other specimens are received, and it is hoped that the successful candidates will have complementary areas of general expertise. You'll also have the opportunity tohelp the Department work towards UKAS accreditation and the future strategy for cellular pathology serviceson the Isle of Man.
