Main duties of the job

The Tissue Viability Nurse/Allied Health Professional is committed and accountable to the provision of excellent patient focussed, wound prevention/therapies and chronic oedema care; whilst contributing in the development and delivery of educational and training programs for multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, patients and carers across organisational boundaries.

About the role

Would you like to join the Manx Care Tissue Viability Service? Within this exciting role, you’ll provide leadership and promote excellence in tissue viability to health care professionals across the Isle of Man. You’ll work alongside our current Tissue Viability Service Lead and Team to develop services across Manx Care and organisational boundaries – acute, community and nursing homes.

We are looking for a committed individual who will be accountable to ensure quality, patient focussed care of complex/stalled wounds, prevention and self-care of skin break down and chronic oedema. You will also get the chance to contribute in the development and delivery of educational and training programs for multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, patients and carers.

This is a key position within an innovative Tissue Viability Service delivering a comprehensive service to the residents of the Isle of Man. This post is challenging but rewarding, as you will embrace changes in practice to ensure the provision of services is equitable for the population of the Isle of Man.
