Main duties of the job
This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking healthcare scientist with a specialist interest in cardiac ultrasound to further develop their career supporting the cardiac physiology services on the Island. As a member of the Cardiorespiratory Team, you will be responsible to the Cardiorespiratory Manager, but will also work closely with other highly specialist clinical physiologists to deliver and develop a patient-focused, cost-effective and high quality service to the island population. The post is offered at Band 7 for those holding professional registration as a Clinical Scientist or Clinical Physiologist and current British Society of Echocardiography Adult Accreditation or equivalent. We can offer support to those expecting to achieve this within 6 months of commencement in post in the form of a transitional Band 6 role. We welcome applications from graduates of the Healthcare Scientist Training Programme. You will be responsible for providing an efficient and accurate, quality assured diagnostic imaging service to all users; ensuring relevant competencies are achieved to meet service requirements and turnaround times.
