About the role and our team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join Manx Care as a Specialist Practitioner Safeguarding Children on the beautiful Isle of Man!

We are looking for an experienced Registered Health Professional to provide specialist support, supervision and training for Health Care Professionals on safeguarding children issues.

You will be an integral member of the Health Safeguarding Team and our multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH) working with police, social care colleagues, early help and education.

You will be visible within our Emergency Department and Children’s Wards to provide adhoc support and advice where needed and provide advice to Manx Care colleagues via our safeguarding duty line.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a passion for safeguarding and be prepared to provide training to staff. You will be a valued member of the Safeguarding Team providing specialist advice, support and supervision on matters relating to safeguarding.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month. This role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of £3,000, payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.

Qualifications

Essential

• Registered Nurse/Midwife with current NMC registration.
• Specialist training, for example Community Practitioner or Health Visitor.
• Degree in related area.
