Job summary

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Support Worker to join the Supported Living Team.This Band 3 Support Worker role sits within the Adult Disability Service at Le Grand Courtil, providing 24hour support to adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities. The focus is on enabling individuals to live independently in their own homes.

Main duties of the job

Staff use the Active Support Model focusing on doing things with people, not for thempromoting choice, independence, and participation at every opportunity to help service users participate in daily living tasks such as personal care, medication management, cooking, cleaning, shopping, managing finances, and accessing the community. Providing consistent, compassionate support that reflects Guernseys Care Values.Band 3 staff work collaboratively with colleagues, act as key workers, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold service procedures and quality standards. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by managers. A valid driving licence is required, and staff must be willing to drive service vehicles.
