Job summary
St John's Residential and Nursing Home is a 39 bedded home that accommodates Residential and Nursing residents.The Home prides itself on delivery of high quality, holistic care that is individual to each resident, and all care plans are written to try and take usual resident routines into consideration. All staff understand that when they come to work, they are working in the residents' homes and that their rooms are their personal and private spaces. We encourage families to be as involved as possible in their loved one's care.As a care home they have a team of Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Activities and Reception staff. All aiming to give the residents the best possible experience.The post holder will be required to carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of a registered nurse, with minimal supervision. They will ensure high quality individualised care is delivered to service users living with advanced dementia and other mental health diagnoses, maintaining privacy and dignity. The post holder will demonstrate skills to new or less experienced members of staff and participate in ward-based induction and orientation programmes. They are responsible for ensuring that all their mandatory and statutory training is current.
