Main duties of the job

The post holder will on occasions have direct involvement with children and families providing clinical leadership by example, as well as supporting others to deliver high quality evidence-based care. The post-holder will be expected to advise on improvements in service delivery and practice.
The role has been informed by the intercollegiate document, Safeguarding Children and Young People, Roles and Competencies for Healthcare Staff; accepting that Guernsey is not part of the UK, has different structures and legislation, and covers a smaller population than Designated Nurses typically cover in the UK. Therefore, some flexibility to local arrangements will be required.
