The Department of Radiology is a busy imaging department encompassing all medical imaging technologies and services in Guernsey. Currently we perform more than 55,000 examinations annually. We are lucky to provide a very thorough and wide ranging portfolio of services not normally found within a small community of around 65,000 people. We provide X Ray, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and Breast Imaging services predominantly during our core working hours of 8am 6pm, Monday to Friday. Multiple access points to our services mean that our patients / clients range in all ages and types.

Our work therefore is varied and stimulating while not encroaching on valuable time away from work often associated with clinical nursing roles. Our team is made up of full time Consultant Radiologists, Advanced Practitioners, Radiographers, Nurses, Clinical Support Workers and Administrative staff with a total of 40 people working in the department. We aim to be a patient centric service and strive hard to create and maintain a relaxed and welcoming environment for both patients and staff alike.

You will be a Senior Nurse providing a supportive managerial role to the Department Lead Nurse and responsible for carrying out programmes of care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring that practice is in accordance with the NMC.
