Main duties of the job
To lead the systems management, administration and business requirements of the Centre for Defence Radiology (CD Rad) in the delivery of its Mission to provide a Defence-wide Radiology capability (including teleradiology, digital archiving, training, education and research) in order to support the Armed Forces at home and on deployment.
The post holder will provide strategic direction and be responsible for the operational management of the CD Rad Systems, including the Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Image Exchange Portal (IEP), and other integrated software systems. They will have overall responsibility for the current operation and future developments of these systems. They will contribute to the development of operational performance protocols and radiology policy by employing audit and risk management tools and strategies.
