This is a full time role offering 37.5 hours per week. Part-time candidates will be considered but due to service delivery requirements it must be on a job share basis as full-time hours need to be covered. The salary will be pro-rata where part-time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary primary healthcare team delivering primary healthcare nursing including elements of occupational health.
You will work with the Senior Practice Nurse or Senior Medical Officer within the medical facility (MF) and will be a focal point for Primary Healthcare nursing issues within area of practice.
You will hold an individual case load, and through consultation identify, assess and diagnose patients with complex health needs, minor injuries, minor illnesses and specific diseases within their level of competence.
Be responsible for the delivery of appropriate treatment, screening and advice to patients within their professional competence and in accordance with Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) clinical guidelines and protocols.
Provide expert clinical advice, leadership and support ensuring the needs of the service are met by exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical analysis and decision making skills.
The post holder will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team and will play an integral role in the operational/strategic development of the service.
The post holder will have line management, training and clinical supervision responsibilities for, junior practice nurses, Healthcare Assistants (HCA) and other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
