Our Band 6 Radiographer will be working within our Primary Health Care team at Stanford Hall, Loughborough.

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week,Working 11:0019:00, Monday to Friday (including a 30-minute break), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality imaging services and supporting the departments extended operations. Job share will be considered.

Main duties of the job

Principles of Military Medical Rehabilitation is a complex process demanding a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approach. The process varies from the provision of physiotherapy and exercise therapy at Primary Care level to the more specialised intermediate clinical activity at the Regional Rehabilitation Units (RRU) with secondary and tertiary care provided at the Royal Centre of Defence Medicine (RCDM) and Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Stanford Hall.

DMRC provides medical rehabilitation for patients with complex needs who may have sustained multiple injuries; this includes neurological injury and complex trauma. In addition, the Centres of Spinal and Upper Quadrant, Lower Limb and Specialist Rehabilitation provide the consultant led multidisciplinary management at secondary care level.

The Band 6 Radiographers role is to be part of the multidisciplinary team providing an MRI service in support of DMRCs stated aims and objectives, ensuring the delivery is professional and patient centred. They will also be an effective member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, providing a high standard of radiographic service to radiologists and patients and will provide full support to the Imaging services Manager and the MRI Lead Radiographer.

  • To be responsible for prioritising, organising and planning own clinical workload making short term adjustments to plans on a daily basis as required.
  • Assisting the MRI Lead Radiographer in the day to day running of the MRI scanner, maintaining high standards at all times and deputise in their absence.
