This is a part time position, offering 17 working hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will strategically develop the non-surgical management of patients across Defence Rehabilitation and ensure local implementation of relevant national policy.

You will be expected to undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard using specialist knowledge from theoretical and practical experience and to support other practitioners on a service-wide consultancy basis for complex cases.

Job responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing highly complex cases using a range of assessment/diagnostic methods and reach valid, reliable and comprehensive patient and client-centred conclusions appropriate to needs, context and culture.
  • Undertaking a detailed physical and psychosocial assessment of complex patients by using investigative and analytical skills and expert clinical reasoning in order to establish a diagnosis and implement an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Producing individual treatment and intervention plans for patients with highly complex needs who require in-depth diagnosis.
  • Providing training and expert clinical advice within the RRU ensuring that it operates to the highest possible standards of clinical practice.
