Here at Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC), we are inclusive and dedicated, working to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel!

We are looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our welcoming team of dedicated military and civilian healthcare professionals and administrative staff located at the Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF), Wattisham Airfield, Suffolk. Wattisham is part of the Iceni Network and you may be required to provide cover at Colchester or Woodbridge Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF) if required.

The vacant post is full time working 37.5 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will ensure the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This includes undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in the musculo-skeletal/sports and training injury areas.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

Performing highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals with diverse presentations and complex and acute/chronic physical conditions and sports injuries. To use clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
Formulating, developing and delivering a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon evidence based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.
Advising the Senior Medical Officer with regard to specialist physiotherapy recommendations.
Taking part in and supporting any relevant audit and research activity.
Adhering to Regional Healthcare Governance policy, ensuring that all service delivery conforms to the standards set.
