Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

• Ensure their surgeries are prepared appropriately for the days patients in accordance with current regulations.
• Carry out and record daily maintenance, servicing and pre-user checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies, completing daily forms for all equipment.
• Maintain the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation for which they are responsible, reporting any deficiencies in accordance with local protocols.
• Provide chairside support to the operator for all operative procedures.

Candidates who hold the qualifications but are not yet registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) are eligible to apply for this vacancy. However, if found successful it is a requirement that you are registered with the GDC prior to starting in the post.

There will be no reimbursement for any travel expenses for the interview.

Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

• National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) Certificate or NVQ in Oral Health Care Dental Nursing Level 3.
