Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

Delivering physiotherapy assessments, interventions, education sessions, tailored exercise programmes and discharge plans for patients, utilising Defence and National best practice guidelines within a structured course setting as part of a rehabilitation team.

Using enhanced clinical reasoning, communication strategies and inter - personal skills to maximise occupational outcomes for personnel with diverse and complex Musculoskeletal (MSK) presentations including post-operative, persistent pain, sporting and high - performance populations.

Assisting in the operational delivery of the course programme, whilst retaining clinical leadership of patients care.Prioritise patients clinical interventions utilising enhanced clinical reasoning and time management skills. Deliver group education and therapy sessions as programmed or as staffing requires.

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.

Experience

Essential

• Relevant clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders including sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions.

Registrations and Memberships

Essential

• Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Physiotherapist.
• Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP).

Qualifications

Essential

• Degree in Physiotherapy plus additional specialist training or experience to post graduate diploma level or equivalent.
