Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

• Assessing complex patients with a range of diagnoses, identifying, developing and implementing appropriate specialist rehabilitation programmes based on clear clinical reasoning, based on highly specialist knowledge and experience of a range of procedures and conditions underpinned by sound theory and evidence-based practice.
• Supporting the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) in the interpretation of assessment results and recommendations based on clinical need as part of the larger rehabilitation process.
• Acting as a resource to the clinical team on patient intervention and management.
• Demonstrating skill at assessing and interpreting a range of complex factors relating to the patients condition which will impact on their ability to carry out their activities of daily living including their ability to return to work.

Further Information

All employees joining Ministry of Defence who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a 6-month probation period (unless otherwise advised) effective from the employment start date.

• Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Registration with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
