Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

• Carry out equipment checks and maintain equipment and ensure stock levels of medical stores including surgical equipment and vaccinations are maintained at appropriate levels.
• Under the direction of registered Practice Nurse undertake new patient health checks, sample collection, basic wound care and basic clinical assessments e.g. record temperature, pulse and respiration rates, urine analysis, blood pressure, National Health Service (NHS) over 40s Health Checks, audiometry, blood glucose monitoring, and other observations as directed reporting any abnormalities.
• Prepare and maintain clinical environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions, including assisting medical officers/GPs during the performance of minor operations.

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.

The sift will be completed within 5 working days of the vacancy closing date. Interviews will be held on a date to be confirmed.

There will be no reimbursement for any travel expenses for the interview.

Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs.

Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Essential

• NVQ Level 3 in Care or Qualification in care and credit framework.
• Diploma in Clinical Health and Support (Level 3) or equivalent experience HCA level 2.
