This role is
a permanent full time position offering 37 hours per week, requests to work

Main duties of the job
Here at
Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC), we are an inclusive and dedicated
organisation working to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel.
Overall, your
aim is to maximise the deployability of the Population at Risk for whom you are
responsible.
A MOD Dentist is
responsible for providing clinical outputs, improving, and managing the dental
health and operational fitness of service personnel.
Within your
contracted 37 weekly hours, 2 hours may be attributed to nonclinical activities
including practice meetings, training, and personal administration. The remainder of the contracted hours
are to be utilised to provide clinical outputs and work will be directed
towards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness of
personnel for whom you are responsible.
This role also attracts an on-call allowance and GDC Annual Fees are currently reimbursed. Please be advised that the Department is conducting a review of all pay related allowances which could impact on those allowances that the post currently being advertised attracts.

- Inspecting all personnel for whom you for are responsible at intervals in accordance with The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines and providing follow up treatment as required.
- Working collaboratively with professional colleagues and in the best interests of patients.
- Ensuring that surgery management, documentation including consumable stores, the safe custody of personal sensitive data and the maintenance of equipment is kept to a high standard at all times.
- Onward referral of personnel to enhanced practitioners, specialists, or consultants for treatment as appropriate.
