Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring surgeries are prepared appropriately for the days patients in accordance with current regulations.
• Carrying out and recording daily maintenance, servicing and pre-user checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies, completing daily forms for all equipment.
• Maintaining the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation for which they are responsible, reporting any deficiencies in accordance with local protocols.
• Preparing, mixing and handling dental materials in accordance with manufacturers instructions; adhering to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations and Safety Datasheets.
• Recording accurate dental charting for each patient as required by the dentist. These charts may be required as ante-mortem records by the Defence Primary Healthcare Forensic Odontology teams called upon to carry out post-mortem identification.

• Must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
