Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will ensure the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This includes undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in the musculo-skeletal/sports and training injury area.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary primary healthcare team within a Group Practice delivering general medical services and elements of occupational health to military personnel and trainees; the Group Practice is formed of two sites (the other in Minley) and there is an expectation that you will be required to work across both sites.

Job responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals with diverse presentations and complex and acute/chronic physical conditions and sports injuries.
  • Using clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
  • Formulating, developing, and delivering a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon current evidence, best practice guidelines, manual assessment, and appropriate clinical reasoning.
  • Communicating effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment and a good understanding of their condition in order to maximise rehabilitation potential.
  • Managing and prioritising own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively
