Main duties of the job

We are seeking a highly motivated CMP who will be responsible for delivering a clinical service to entitled personnel. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Group Practice to provide primary and occupational Healthcare in line with General Medical Council (GMC) Standards. You will ensure that the organisational and Senior Medical Officer's (SMO) objectives are achieved to optimise patient care. There is an expectation that the Post Holder may be required to work across both sites of the Group Practice (the other site is Minley).

Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Representing the PMO/SMO on Medical Practice related issues where necessary, including participation in unit health committees where appropriate.
  • Appropriately supervise the management of communicable diseases, including monitoring and reporting through single Service chains.
  • Participating in audit, in accordance with both personal and practice development plans.
  • Participating in the mentoring of junior personnel, helping to ensure that their training needs, as defined in the Practice Development Plan, are met and that any shortfalls are identified and addressed.
