We are looking to recruit a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Health Clinician to join our vibrant and fast paced organisation that seeks to sustain and improve the operational efficiency of injured service personnel by supporting the delivery of a peripatetic occupational health service.

The vacant post is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a peripatetic Occupational Health (OH) service which requires travel between the base location and assigned units.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing own clinical caseload and proactively supporting the Service Person (SP) through their clinical pathway in accordance with best practice, current legislation, and Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) policy.
  • Participating in clinical supervision provided by clinical lead and engaging in Performance Appraisal Development Review (PADR).
  • Providing specialist, person-centred care which considers safety, privacy and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge.
  • Providing clinical advice and training on the clinical value of Occupational Health (OH) to other members of the multidisciplinary team, and external agencies / organisations as requested.
