Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing general healthcare to all registered patients during normal practice hours.
• Maximising the levels of health, well-being and employ-ability of Service personnel to ensure the needs of the single Services are met.
• Undertaking mandatory medical examinations and provide appropriate occupational healthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties.
• Providing appropriate preventative medical advice to both individuals and Chain of Command.
• Appropriately supervise the management of communicable diseases, including monitoring and reporting through single Service chains.

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.

Essential

Qualifications

Essential

• Registration with the United Kingdom (UK) GMC, and on the General Practitioner (GP) Register.
• A Certificate of Prescribed Equivalent Experience or Statement of Acquired Rights (now known as Certificate of Completion Training (CCT) from the Joint Committee in Post Graduate Training in General Practice (JCPGT(GP).
• Post Graduate Training Certificate in General Practice and a Certificate of General Practice Vocational Training (GPVT).
• Holding a current Licence to practice.

Experience

Desirable

• To be proficient in relevant Information Technology (IT) systems subject to appropriate training being provided.
