Here at Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC), we are an inclusive and dedicated organisation working to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic Civilian Medical Practitioner who will be working within our Primary Health Care team.
This post is located at the Medical Centre, RAF Wyton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE28 2EA. There may be a requirement to work from other
DPHC facilities within the combined practice network as required by business
needs.
The Medical centre supports a population at Risk of 1000+. Providing Primary Health care to the entitled serving personnel.
This position offers 37 hours a week. Part-time candidates will be considered but due to service delivery requirements it must be on a job share basis as full-time hours need to be covered.

Main duties of the job
The successful postholder will provide primary and occupational Healthcare in line with General Medical Council
(GMC) Standards to ensure that the organisational and Principal/Senior Medical Officer's
objectives are achieved to optimise patient care.

- Maximising the levels of health, well-being and employ-ability of Service personnel to
ensure the needs of the single Services are met.
- Undertaking mandatory medical examinations and provide appropriate occupational
healthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties.
- Providing appropriate preventative medical advice to both individuals and Chain of
Command.
- Appropriately
supervise the management of communicable diseases, including monitoring
and reporting through single Service chains.
