This is a permanent, part time role, offering 32 hours a week, across 5 days (ie 6hrs 24mins per day).

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be the pharmacist within the Catterick Medical Centre(s) and act as the professional lead and line manager. You will work closely with and be accountable to the Senior Medical Officer to ensure that Pharmacy services are safe and effective; working unsupervised and providing pharmacy services to the population at risk.

Job responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing highly specialist high-quality person-centred care which always considers peoples safety, privacy and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge that is evidence based.
  • Monitoring prescriptions for safe, economic, effective and evidence based prescribing enforcing and actively promoting compliance with the DPHC and Local Area Formulary
  • Providing expert clinical advice, leadership and support ensuring the needs of the service are met by exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical analysis, and advanced decision-making skills.
  • Leading the ongoing development of technician led systems for ensuring the safe, prompt, accurate and seamless provision of medicines to patients.
  • Managing prescription queries across the practices, providing remote. support where needed
