Main duties of the job

The senior restorative technician is required to provide support to a consultant led multi-disciplinary team. As a key member of the team, the post-holder will require knowledge and experience of treatment planning to provide close support of technical services in the delivery of bespoke treatment plans.

The post holder will require advanced skills in restorative dental technology, and a good knowledge of all disciplines within dental technology to deliver, maintain and develop a high-quality technical service for prosthetic and restorative rehabilitation of service personnel through complex oral-facial appliances. Some experience of Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) ran processes is essential. Training will be provided on the Dental Centre Restorative Department (DCRD) laboratories software and production processes.

  • Current full General Dental Council registration.
