Defence Primary Health Care (DPHC) are looking for a Band 8A Defence Mental Health Network (DMHN) Manager to be based at Venning Barracks (Donnington), RAF Digby (Ashby De La Launde) or Merville Barracks (Colchester). The Network Manager can be based at any of the locations, butmust be willing to
travel across the central network (Donnington, Digby, Colchester).
This position offers 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a highly experienced, motivated,
flexible and dynamic clinical leader who is able to lead on the development and delivery of a
specialised occupational mental health service.
Able to work under pressure and deliver results for a number of stakeholders, the post holder will
be responsible for the overall management and provision of a community mental health service
to a defined catchment area.
Possessing exceptional leadership qualities, the post holder will be accountable for the output of
the mental health service across a defined catchment area, ensuring the delivery of effective
governance and assurance, evidence based therapeutic interventions, liaison, education,
training, research and mental health promotion across the area of responsibility (AOR).

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that each clinical team within their Defence Mental Health Network (DMHN) is performing in all aspects of care delivery.
- Liaising with key stakeholders, including the National Health Service (NHS) and third sector organisations.
- Analysing and acting on highly complex situations requiring resolution and interpret and compare a range of options in respect of clinical services, the population at risk, the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the workforce requirements.
- Providing and receiving highly contentious information, identifying workforce and resourcing barriers to understanding and implementation of major change programmes.
- Managing resources effectively in order to meet the clinical demand to improve access for all entitled personnel.
