Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary primary healthcare team
delivering primary healthcare nursing including elements of occupational health within the
Group Practice and will be a focal point for Primary Health Care nursing issues within area of
practice. The Group Practice is formed of three sites and there is an expectation the Band 6
nurse will be required to work across multiple sites (the other sites being at Wellington Barracks
and Hyde Park).
Because there is a necessity to travel between the 3 sites a valid drivers licence will be required.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planning, managing and completing episodes of care, working in partnership
with others and delegating and referring as appropriate to optimise health
outcomes and resources use, as well as providing direct support to patients
and clients
- Organise complex activities or programmes for patients, drawing on an
appropriate range of multi-disciplinary and inter-professional resources within
the MTF and across the wider military services to promote integrated and
seamless pathways of care
- Undertaking technical nursing treatments and procedures for patients
complex/specialist healthcare needs (e.g. wound care, sutures removal,
Electrocardiograms (ECGs), Cytology, Audiometry, Ear Care)
